Thomas A. Scavone is the K-12 District Music Coordinator and Director of Instrumental Music for the Canton, CT Public Schools. The Music Department has been nationally-recognized both curricularly and through its performance organizations. At the high school level, over fifty percent of the student body participates in the vocal and instrumental music program. The high school jazz ensemble and combo were the featured performers at the 2010 New England Music Festival and the Greater Hartford Jazz Festival. Tom’s previous ensembles have performed at the Tournament of Roses, the Macy’s Thanksgiving and the 53rd Presidential Inaugural Parades.
