Steven Bossert

Steven Bossert has been teaching orchestral/string music in Hillsborough County for the past 15 years. He is in his eighth year as the orchestra director at H.B. Plant High School in Tampa. The orchestra program has grown tremendously under Mr. Bossert, and the students consistently earn Superior ratings at the District and State levels. He has taught at the elementary and high school levels and was instrumental in starting the primary string program in Hillsborough County.  He is a principal violinist with the Tampa Bay Symphony. He has been a guest conductor several times for the Hillsborough County Elementary Honors orchestra and has adjudicated several FOA district performance assessments. Steven holds a B.M. degree from Ithaca College and earned his M.M. from the University of South Florida in 1999. In addition, he has had extensive training in the Suzuki method and philosophy.
