Margret (Peggy) Krasin

Peggy is in her 38th year of teaching music at Westside Elementary School in River Falls, Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and her Master of Music Education Degree from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana where she studied with Eunice Boardman. Peggy earned her Orff Certification from the University of St Thomas. She taught at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. Peggy has been involved with the WMEA Listening Project. She served as chair for 4 years and has been an active member of the committee since it was formed. For 20 years Peggy has directed a school musical involving students, staff and parents. World music, active listening, and integrating music into other subjects are important parts of her curriculum. Peggy has presented sessions at many WMEA and MENC conventions. Recently Peggy was awarded the WMEA Michael George Distinguished Service Award.
