Joseph James Bartolozzi, a native of Chicago, is completing his Ph.D at Stonybrook University in composition under the tutelage of Perry Goldstein and Daniel Weymouth. Mr. Bartolozzi has collaborated with such artists as Charles Strouse and Keith Lockhart of the Boston Pops. He has studied with Ira Newborn, Scott Smalley, Dave Berger, Sonny Kompanek, Garry Dial, Arturo O'Farrill, and master teacher Adele Marcus. As a conductor, Mr. Bartolozzi has worked with Otto Werner Mueller, Gary Fagin, and Vincent La Selva, and has conducted at the NYU Film Scoring Institute and on Broadway. He is a member of ASCAP and is currently working on a Christmas cantata. He currently teaches composition at Stony Brook University and s on the faculty at Long Island City High School, Long Island City, New York.
