Deborah Mosier

Deborah Mosier is an elementary music specialist in the Omaha Public School District in Omaha, Nebraska. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music Education and a Master’s of Science Degree in Instructional Technology from Peru State College.

 

She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the arts curriculum at the award winning Catlin Arts Magnet School. She frequently serves as a guest clinician at district in-services, and at state and national conferences. Her honors and awards include the Nebraska State Education Association 2008 Music Educator of the Year and the Alice Buffett Outstanding Teacher Award (2009).

 

Since 2006, she has served as the lead teacher for the Omaha Symphony Communities LinkUP! program and is a contributing editor of the Carnegie Hall, Weill Music Institute "The Orchestra Sings" Link Up Curriculum 2010.

 

She and her husband Deveron spend their leisure time enjoying their five grandchildren.
