 Cameron McPhail, Baritone

Cameron McPhail’s Uncle John is well-sung, but even more beautifully acted. McPhail makes us feel the slimy, seductive, cruel power of Don Giovanni in an especially creepy and powerful way through both his fine voice and exceptional acting.”

The Globe and Mail

"Cameron McPhail, with his powerful baritone and youthful visage, offered an affable Nick Shadow who was at once playful and sinister"

Opera News, October 2012

"Cameron McPhail brought detail to both the singing and acting of Guglielmo, and he was an audience favorite. He sang his act two aria "Donne mie, le fate a tanti (My ladies, you do it to so many)" with rich color and vented the character's anger directly into the audience. We loved it."

Hartford Courant

"The dramatic centerpiece of the work was the interaction of mezzo-soprano Vivien Shotwell as Lucretia and baritone Cameron McPhail as Tarquinius. McPhail was charismatic and youthful and not simply evil in his portrayal of this classical bad guy, but his vocal control and musicality made him like a force of nature."

Hartford Courant
