Jordan has contributed to several collaborative projects with the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, Bridgeport Public Schools, New Haven Public Schools, Side by Side Community School, and the Yale School of Music’s Music in Schools Initiative.  These projects involve the composition of new music for narration written by students, who also create artwork to illustrate their stories.  The artworks range from drawings, to dramatic productions, to “Legomation” movies.  Each project culminates in a performance of the work for (and possibly involving) the students.  Throughout these projects, he has made several visits to each school to work with the students and engage them in the creative process of composition and how it relates to creativity in all its forms.
